Cookie Policy

1. What Are Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website places on your device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) when you visit it. They are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently, as well as to provide information to the owners of the site. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, pixels, and web beacons.
Under Directive 2002/58/EC (the "ePrivacy Directive") as implemented in Czech law by Act No. 127/2005 Coll. on Electronic Communications, the storage of information or access to information already stored on a user's device generally requires the user's prior informed consent, except where strictly necessary for the provision of a service explicitly requested by the user.
2. Helize's Privacy-First Approach
Helize s.r.o. operates its websites on a strict privacy-first basis. Upon loading any page on helize.eu or its sub-domains, Helize sets ZERO cookies. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Facebook tracking, TikTok pixels, LinkedIn insight tags, advertising retargeting cookies, or any other behavioural tracking technologies. We do not use third-party fonts that could log your IP address; all fonts used on our websites are self-hosted on our own EU infrastructure.
This means that no cookie consent banner is required at page load, because we do not place any non-essential information on your device.
3. Categories of Cookies and Storage Used
Strictly necessary: Helize does not set any cookies at page load. In limited circumstances, we may use browser session storage (a local, per-tab storage mechanism that lives only in your browser) to remember your selected language preference during your visit. This information is stored exclusively on your own device, is cleared automatically when you close the tab, and is never transmitted to our servers. Under Article 5(3) of the ePrivacy Directive, strictly necessary storage of this nature does not require consent.
Analytics cookies: NONE. We do not measure visitor behaviour, page views, heatmaps, session recordings, or any other analytics.
Marketing / advertising cookies: NONE. We do not run retargeting, advertising, or conversion-tracking technologies.
Social media cookies: NONE. We do not embed third-party social media widgets, share buttons, or feeds that would set cookies.
Preference cookies: NONE. Preferences such as language are stored only in local session storage as described above.
4. Why We Don't Use Tracking
Helize has made a deliberate engineering and ethical choice not to use tracking technologies. Our reasoning is threefold.
First, respect for user privacy: we believe that visitors to a corporate website should not have to pay for the experience with their personal data. The GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive reflect a broader European consensus that online tracking should be exceptional, informed, and consensual.
Second, legal simplicity: by not setting any non-essential cookies, we avoid the complex consent-management, record-keeping, and legal risk burdens that tracking implementations impose, and we can guarantee that visitors are never exposed to undisclosed transfers of their data.
Third, technical integrity: self-hosting everything (fonts, assets, code) gives us complete control over security, performance, and privacy, and eliminates countless third-party dependencies.
5. Third-Party Embedded Content
Helize does not embed any third-party content on helize.eu that would set cookies or make requests to third-party servers. We do not use YouTube embeds, Vimeo players, Google Maps iframes, Twitter / X widgets, Instagram feeds, Facebook plugins, or similar technologies on our public website.
Where the contact form is used, submissions are transmitted through Web3Forms strictly after you have actively ticked the consent checkbox. This is not a cookie; it is a one-off data transmission governed by our Privacy Policy.
6. How to Manage Cookies in Your Browser
Even though Helize does not set any cookies, you may wish to manage cookies generally in your browser. Most modern browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies through their settings menus.
Google Chrome: Settings > Privacy and security > Cookies and other site data.
Mozilla Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data.
Apple Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data.
Microsoft Edge: Settings > Cookies and site permissions > Manage and delete cookies and site data.
For mobile browsers, similar options are typically available under the app's Settings menu. You may also use privacy-focused browsers such as Brave or extensions such as uBlock Origin to enhance your control over online tracking on other websites.
7. Withdrawal of Consent
Since Helize does not rely on cookie consent to set any cookies on your device at page load, there is nothing to withdraw consent to at the cookie level. If you previously submitted our contact form and wish to withdraw your consent for the related processing, please email privacy@helize.eu and we will delete your submission in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
8. Changes to this Cookie Policy and Contact
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our technologies, applicable law, or internal practices. Any changes will be indicated by an updated "Last updated" date at the top of this policy.
If we ever introduce non-essential cookies or tracking technologies in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy accordingly and implement a compliant consent mechanism before any such technologies are activated.
For any questions about this Cookie Policy, please contact: privacy@helize.eu or info@helize.eu. Postal enquiries may be addressed to Helize s.r.o., Czech Republic.
