Every plan includes a flat 5% commission on bookings processed through the platform. There are no monthly SaaS fees — you only pay the setup fee upfront and a small commission when you earn.

How long does it take to launch my platform?
Most Helize customers go live within 7 days of signing up. You choose your plan, provide a domain name, and the Helize team handles design, development, configuration, app publishing, and deployment. The only thing we need from you is the domain and your branding preferences (logo, colors, business details). Everything else is done for you.
Who owns what after the platform launches?
You own your domain, your brand identity, your business content, and all your customer and booking data — which you can export anytime in standard formats. Helize owns and continuously maintains the underlying platform technology and hosts everything on our EU-based infrastructure. This means you never have to think about servers, security patches, hosting fees, software updates, or maintenance — we handle all of it, forever, as part of your commission. You get to focus on running your business while we handle every technical aspect of your platform.
Who handles hosting, updates, and maintenance?
Helize handles everything. Your Handyman Platform is hosted on our EU-based infrastructure and included in every plan — no separate hosting fees, no server management, no maintenance windows, no surprise invoices. We also handle all software updates, security patches, database backups, SSL certificates, uptime monitoring, and ongoing platform improvements automatically. Every improvement we ship to the platform reaches your customers automatically. The only thing you need to think about is serving your customers.
What if I don't have a domain name yet?
No problem. We can help you pick and register a domain name as part of the onboarding process. A good domain typically costs €10-€15 per year and is registered in your own name at the registrar — you keep full control of it. Once registered, we connect your domain to the Helize hosting infrastructure so your branded platform goes live at your custom URL. We recommend choosing a short, memorable name that includes your city or service type for better local SEO ranking.
Are Google Play and Apple App Store developer accounts included?
For the Professional (€599) and Complete (€999) plans which include mobile apps, Helize covers the developer accounts required to publish your branded apps for the first year. That includes the Google Play Developer registration and the Apple Developer Program subscription. From your second year onward, the Apple Developer Program's annual fee (currently €99/year, set by Apple) is billed directly to you to keep your iOS app listed on the App Store — this is standard for any iOS app and outside Helize's control. Google Play's developer registration is a one-time fee so no annual renewal applies there.
How does the 5% commission actually work?
Every time a customer books and pays through your Handyman Platform, Helize automatically deducts 5% as a commission and transfers the remaining 95% to your connected payment account. There are no hidden fees, no minimums, and no surprises. If you have a quiet month with no bookings, you pay zero. If you have a great month, you pay proportionally — always aligned with your success.
Is the Handyman Platform GDPR compliant?
Yes, 100%. Helize is incorporated in the Czech Republic and the Handyman Platform is built GDPR-native from day one. All data is processed and stored within the European Union. The platform includes built-in tools for data subject requests, consent management, right to erasure, data portability, and full audit logging. Data processing agreements are provided to every customer as standard.
What is GPT SEO and why does it matter for my business?
GPT SEO (also called generative engine optimization or GEO) is the practice of optimizing your website and content so that AI answer engines like ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews cite your business when users ask them questions. Unlike traditional SEO which targets Google's blue-link results, GPT SEO targets the AI-generated answers that are increasingly replacing those links. Yes. The Handyman Platform integrates 8 payment gateways out of the box: Stripe, PayPal, Razorpay, Paystack, Flutterwave, Omise, Braintree, and Mollie. This covers credit cards, debit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, SEPA bank transfers, and most local European payment methods. You can enable multiple gateways at once and let customers choose their preferred method at checkout.
What if I want to cancel or stop using the platform?
There are no cancellation fees, no contracts, and no minimum commitment periods — you can leave anytime. If you decide to stop, you can export all your customer data, booking history, invoices, and business information in standard formats to take with you. You keep your domain (pointing it anywhere else is a simple DNS change) and your brand. Since there are no monthly fees and commission is only paid on actual bookings, there is nothing to cancel in advance — you simply stop processing bookings through the platform.
What markets and languages does the Handyman Platform support?
The platform supports multi-language interfaces out of the box and can be deployed in any European market. Helize is headquartered in Prague, Czech Republic, and currently serves customers across the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Germany, and the wider EU. The platform handles EUR, CZK, and other European currencies, plus major international currencies. All tax and VAT compliance is built in.
Do I need any technical knowledge to use the platform?
Not at all. The platform is designed for handymen and service business owners, not developers. Everything is managed through a simple admin dashboard — adding services, managing bookings, viewing earnings, replying to messages, and updating your profile all work like a normal app. If you can use WhatsApp and Google, you can run your business on Handyman Platform.
